Airport
Taxi's: Taxi's at the airport tend to be a bit dodgy. If taking a taxi in or out to the airport, always use the meter. Taxi drivers outside the airport are always trying to rip off new-comers by bargaining at the exits. You will never come out on top of this deal. In Nanjing though it's a little different. The meter's in the Taxi's start at 8RMB, but it's really 9. Due to the rise in gas prices the taxi companies have raised thier starting prices but for whatever reason don't bother to change the meters. So when the driver ask's you for one more kuai, he's not trying to rip you off!
Busses: The Nanjing busses are a cheaper option for getting to and from the airport and drop you off right in the middle of town.

The airport itself is 36km from the city and has routes connecting to 65 Chinese cities and two int'l routes to Seoul and Kuala Lampur.
